This section introduces the following adjustment flows, as pre-output image quality adjustments on the machine that has Image Controller IC-604 equipped.
Adjustment flow when changing the screen
Regular adjustment flow (Standard)
Regular adjustment flow (High accuracy)
In the Regular adjustment flow (Standard), you can perform color density control.
In the Adjustment flow when changing the screen, you can select any screen, and then perform the gamma automatic adjustment and density balance adjustment to control the color density.
In the Regular adjustment flow (High accuracy), you can perform the gamma automatic adjustment and density balance adjustment to control the color density.
For details about the image quality adjustment flows of Image Controller IC-604, refer to Color Management Adjustment Flow.
For details about Color Density Control, refer to Overview of Color Density Control.
You can execute calibration by using the colorimeter on Color Centro.
Select a calibration method according to the purpose of using the calibration data. The accuracy of the color density control is the same as that of calibration by using the colorimeter on Color Centro.
The color density control judges the timing when the machine performs automatic adjustment. The required time period is approximately 1 min.
The calibration utilizing the colorimeter on Color Centro judges the timing when a user performs manual adjustment. The required time period is approximately 10 min.
This section describes how to calibrate by using a colorimeter on Color Centro.
If you select ON in Adjustment - Quality Adjustment - Color Density Control - Basic Setting - Use Color Density Control on the machine side, you cannot perform calibration by using a colorimeter because calibration data is automatically generated. Make the following settings to execute the controller calibration.
Set Use Color Density Control of the main body to OFF.
The colorimeter becomes available. You can also execute calibration by using the colorimeter on Color Centro.
