Using Functions Manually

Finisher FS-532 mounted with Post Inserter PI-502 can be operated manually with the control panel provided on the post inserter.

Finisher FS-532 provides the following output modes according to the optional configuration.

Folder tray

  • preconditionPaper should be placed only in the lower tray. Upper tray cannot be used.

  1. Place paper in the lower tray of the post inserter.

    • supplementary explanationCorner Staple / 2 Position Staple: Place paper face up.

    • supplementary explanationPunch : Place paper face up.

    • supplementary explanationFold & Staple: Place the face to be front side of the finished set up.

    • supplementary explanationTri-Fold: Place the face to be outside of the fold up.

    • supplementary explanationAlign the guide plate with the paper.

    NOTICE

    • Do not punch special paper type such as labels or tracing paper. If you use special paper, unexpected trouble may be caused to the punch kit.

  2. Select the desired mode using the staple mode selection button and punch button.

    • supplementary explanationTo select Corner Staple / 2 Position Staple, Fold & Staple, or Tri-Fold, press the staple mode selection button to turn on the lamp of desired mode. To select Punch, press the punch button to turn on the lamp.

    • supplementary explanationPunch and Corner Staple / 2 Position Staple are compatible. To use it in combination, press the staple mode selection button to turn on the lamp. If any function other than Punch is not desired, turn off all the lamps except that of Punch.

  3. Open the paper delivery handle of the folder tray when Fold & Staple or Multi Tri-Fold mode is selected.

  4. Press the Start/Stop button on the control panel of the post inserter.

    • supplementary explanationTo stop the output, press the Start/Stop button again.
