  1. Press the COPY tab to display the COPY screen.

  2. Press Quality Adj. on the COPY screen.

  3. Position the original.

  4. Make an adjustment for Saturation on the Quality Adjustment screen.

    Use - and + on the right side of Saturation to specify the desired adjustment level.

    Specify a negative level to decrease the saturation of whole copy image, or a positive level to increase it.

  5. Make the saturation adjustment for red, green, and blue collectively on the Saturation screen.

    Press Saturation to display the Saturation screen.

    Select one from -1 to -4 to decrease the saturation of whole copy image.

    Select one from 1 to 4 to increase the saturation of whole copy image.

    • supplementary explanationTo resume the standard level and return to the Quality Adjustment screen, press Default Set.

  6. Output a sample copy.

    After making the desired adjustment, press Adj.Proof Copy on the Quality Adjustment screen, Adj.Proof Copy on the Saturation screen, or Proof Copy on the control panel. Check the adjustment result with output image.

  7. Press Close on the Quality Adjustment screen.

    The screen returns to the COPY screen. The Saturation indication can be found under Quality Adj. on the COPY screen.
