Overview of Paper Setting
The Paper Setting offers two types of usage depending on what the setting is intended for.
One is the Paper Setting that allows you to set paper conditions to a paper tray.
The other is the Paper Setting that allows you to register paper conditions according to paper to be used.
This section describes how to make the Paper Setting for a paper tray. It also describes how to register set paper conditions.
Tips
While a job is running, you can change Paper Setting for the trays that are not used in the job. However, the paper conditions cannot be changed when the key is dimmed.

The Paper Setting can be made for the following trays:
Trays of Paper Feed Unit PF-707m (Tray 1 to Tray 9)
Trays of Paper Feed Unit PF-711 (Tray 1 to Tray 3)
Upper tray/lower tray of the post inserter of Folding Unit FD-503 (PI 1, PI 2)
Upper tray / Lower tray (PI 1, PI 2) of Post Inserter PI-502 mounted on Finisher FS-532
Cover tray of Perfect Binder PB-503 (PB)
Paper Setting for the tray to be used consists of the following paper conditions that can be specified as desired. Depending on the paper setting, the key for the options may be dimmed and cannot be selected.

Profile Name | No entry can be made in setting the paper conditions for the tray to be used. Enter the paper profile name when you register the paper conditions specified for a tray. | Up to 50 one-byte characters (25 two-byte characters) can be entered for the name. |
Paper Size | Selecting Standard automatically detects the standard size of paper loaded in the selected tray. Selecting Custom allows you to enter the desired dimensions from the screen. This setting can also be made by recalling a custom size previously registered. Weight | Select the paper weight. Four types of coated paper become available when the weight over 81 g/m2 / 22 lb Bond is selected. The unit of weight can be switched. Both Sides Adj. | Adjusts Zoom ratios (Vertical, Horizontal), Image Shift amounts (Up/Down, Right/Left), and Rotate/Skew (rotation adjustment or distortion adjustment) for both Front and Back pages in order to align the images printed on front and back pages in 2-sided printing. Also, Gap or Chart Adjustment can be used for adjustment. If Integrated Color Care Unit IQ-501 is installed on the machine, AutoMeasure is displayed. If Periodical Adjustment is set to ON in AutoMeasure, Both Sides Adjust is automatically performed at the specified intervals. It is advisable to perform Both Sides Adjust for every paper to be used, as the shrinkage ratio differs according to the paper type, paper brand, or difference in temperature of storage location. *1: Minimum size available only for the trays of the 1st unit when the machine is mounted with more than one paper feeder unit. The minimum size for the 2nd and 3rd units is 139.7 mm / 5.5".
*2: 351 g/m2 to 400 g/m2 or 94 lb Bond to 106 lb Bond is available only for the lower tray in the 1st unit. The standard size is available only for SRA3short edge feed, A3short edge feed, 13 19short edge feed, 12 18short edge feed, and 11 17short edge feed. The custom size is avail-able only for widthwise: 279.4 mm to 330.2 mm / 11.00" to 13.00” and lengthwise: 420 mm to 487.7 mm / 16.54" to 19.20".
