Tri-Fold Position Adj.

Adjust the folded positions in Tri-Fold mode determined by Saddle Stitcher SD-513.

Objects of Adjustment: Offset for All Size, A4 short edge feed, 8.5 11 short edge feed

NOTICE

  • When adjusting both Fold 1 and Fold 2, be sure to start with the Fold 1 adjustment. The reference positions of the Fold 1 and Fold 2 positions are set to the paper edge. Consequently, the measurement (b) in step 7 is subject to the change in either position of the fold.

NOTICE

  • If a numeric value is specified for Offset for All Size, it is applied to all paper sizes. With a specific paper size selected,the set value becomes the sum of the entered value and the value previously specified for Offset for All Size.

  • The maximum adjustment value of A4 short edge feed paper for Fold 1 is "+90".
    The maximum adjustment value of 8.5 11 short edge feed paper for Fold 1 is "+30".

  1. Press Adjustment on the MACHINE screen to display the Adjustment Menu screen.

  2. Press Finisher Adjustment, Saddle Stitcher Adjustment, and Tri-Fold Position Adj. in sequence.

  3. Select the size to be adjusted.

  4. Press Print Mode.

  5. Load the paper with the size to be adjusted, then select that tray.

  6. Press Start on the control panel.

    A sample pattern will be output.

  7. Measure the lengths (a) and (b) of the printed paper.

    Allowance: a ± 1.5 mm, b ± 1.5 mm

  8. If any adjustment is required, press Exit PrintMode to return to the Tri-Fold Position Adjustment screen.

  9. Select Fold 1, and then use the touch panel keypad to enter the set value.

  10. Select Fold 2, and then use the touch panel keypad to enter the set value.

  11. Repeat steps 4 to 10 until the desired result is obtained.

  12. Press Return.

    The screen returns to the Saddle Stitcher Adjustment Menu screen.
