Paper Width Adjustment

If misalignment of positions of punch holes made by Folding Unit FD-503 is large, adjust the misalignment of the punch hole positions

Objects of Adjustment: Offset for All Size, A3 short edge feed, B4 short edge feed, SRA4 short edge feed, A4 short edge feed, B5 short edge feed, A4 long edge feed, A5 short edge feed, B5 long edge feed, A5 long edge feed, 12 18 short edge feed, 11 17 short edge feed, 8.5 14 short edge feed, 8.5 11 short edge feed, 8.5 11 long edge feed, 8 13 short edge feed, 8K short edge feed, 16K long edge feed, 16K short edge feed, 9 11 long edge feed

NOTICE

  • If a numeric value is specified for Offset for All Size, it is applied to all paper sizes. With a specific paper size selected, the set value becomes the sum of the entered value and the value previously specified for Offset for All Size.

  1. Press Adjustment on the MACHINE screen to display the Adjustment Menu screen.

  2. Press Finisher Adjustment, Multi Folder Adjustment, Multi Folder(Punch) Adj., and Paper Width Adjustment in sequence.

  3. Select the size to be adjusted using down or up. 

  4. Press Print Mode.

  5. Load the paper with the size to be adjusted, then select that tray.

  6. Set the print quantity to 10, then press Start on the control panel.

    A sample pattern will be output.

  7. Check the diameter of holes penetrating through piled output sets.

    2 holes /4 holes

    5.0 mm or more in diameter

    3-Hole

    6.5 mm or more in diameter

  8. If any adjustment is required, press Exit PrintMode to return to the Paper Width Adjustment screen.

  9. Use the touch panel keypad to enter the set value.

    • supplementary explanationUse +/- to specify the value to be positive or negative.

    • supplementary explanationAdjustment Range: -20 (To reduce the randomness) to +20 (To reduce the tilts) (1 step = 0.1 mm)

    • supplementary explanationAdjusting the width too wide may dislocate the center position of punch holes, or adjusting it too narrow may change the position of punch holes variously.

  10. Repeat steps 4 to 9 until the desired result is obtained.

  11. Press Return.

    The screen returns to the Multi Folder(Punch) Adjustment Menu screen.
