Fold&Staple Fold Position

Adjust half-fold position of fold & staple function in Saddle Stitcher SD-510 mounted on Finisher FS-532. If the half-fold position is not within the allowance range, make this adjustment.

Objects of Adjustment:
Offset for All Size, SRA3 short edge feed, 12 18 short edge feed, A3 short edge feed, 11 17 short edge feed, 8K short edge feed, B4 short edge feed, SRA4 short edge feed, 8.5 14 short edge feed, 8.5 11 short edge feed, B5 short edge feed, A4 short edge feed, 16K short edge feed, 8 13 short edge feed, 13 19 short edge feed, Custom (380 to 488 mm), Custom (240 to 379 mm)

NOTICE

  • If a numeric value is specified for Offset for All Size, it is applied to all paper sizes. With a specific paper size selected,the set value becomes the sum of the entered value and the value previously specified for Offset for All Size.

  1. Press Adjustment on the MACHINE screen to display the Adjustment Menu screen.

  2. Press Finisher Adjustment, Staple Finisher Adjustment, Staple Finisher(Fold) Adj., and Fold&Staple Fold Position in sequence.

  3. Select the size to be adjusted using down or up.

  4. Press Print Mode.

  5. Load the paper size selected in step 3, then select that tray key.

  6. Open the fold mode tray lead edge stopper, then press Start on the control panel.

    A sample pattern will be output.

  7. Check the misalignment (a) of the edges of printed paper.

    Allowance: a = 1 mm or less

  8. Press Exit PrintMode to return to the Fold&Staple Fold Position Adjustment screen.

  9. If any adjustment is required, use the touch panel keypad to enter the set value.

    • supplementary explanationAdjustment Range: -50 (To Extend the top face) to +50 (To Shorten the top face)
      (1 step = 0.1 mm)

    • supplementary explanationPress +/- to specify the value to be positive or negative.

  10. Press Set to change the setting with the Current Data.

  11. Repeat steps 4 to 10 until the desired result is obtained.

  12. Press Return.

    The screen returns to the Staple Finisher(Fold) Adjustment Menu screen.
