Set the default to the common color conversion items when input data is RGB and CMYK.
Setting item | Description | |
---|---|---|
[Tone Curve] | [Image] | Sets the tone curve of the image from the menu list. |
[Text/Graphic] | Sets the tone curve of text and graphics from the menu list. | |
[Pure Black] | Sets the target of [Pure Black]. [Pure Black] is a function that prints black (not gray) in K single color (100%). Prints are made in pure black (K), not rich black (CMYK). This function is applied to the positions where RGB = (0,0,0) or CMYK = (0,0,0,100) is specified. The following are advantages.
When not setting [Pure Black], select [Off]. | |
[Black Overprint] | Sets [Black Overprint]. [Black Overprint] is a function that overprints an undercolor on an object of K=100%. An undercolor is overprinted on an object, so the printed K is not pure black, however, it prevents white streaks from appearing around the object. When not setting [Black Overprint], remove the undercolor before printing (knockout processing). | |
[Gray Replacement] | Sets the target of [Gray Replacement] to each of [RGB] and [CMYK]. [Gray Replacement] is a function that prints gray in K single color (1% to 99%). This is applied to the positions set to R=G=B or CMYK = (0,0,0,X). (X: One of 1 to 99) Setting this item stabilizes the quality of gray. When not setting [Gray Replacement], select [Off]. | |
[Composite Overprint] | Select the desired [Composite Overprint] from the menu list. Composite Overprint is a function that overprints colors. This function overprints colors without being limited to K=100%. It reproduces transparency (color overprinting) represented on an application that created an image. When not setting [Composite Overprint], remove the undercolor of the object before printing (knockout processing). | |
[Use Spot Color] | Use the spot color. | |
[AlternativeColor Table] | Sets the desired alternative color table from the menu list. | |
[Use Embedded RGB Profile] | Uses the profile embedded in the object in print data as the RGB source profile. Select this item when you make prints using the profile specified in the application. If no profile is embedded, the default profile is used. | |
[Use Embedded CMYK Profile] | Uses the profile embedded in the object in print data as the CMYK target profile. Select this item when you make prints using the profile specified in the application. If no profile is embedded, the default profile is used. | |
[RGB Simulation] | Performs RGB simulation. A conversion from RGB data to CMYK data is simulated in a CMYK color space. Even for RGB data, this system can bring colors closer to the printing standard. To set this item, select [RGB Source Profile] in the [RGB] tab. | |
[PDF/X output intent] | Uses the profile embedded as an output intent in a PDF file as the CMYK target profile. PDF/X: ISO standard used as print data Output intent: Profile specified in Color Setting. If no output intent is embedded in a PDF file, a profile is selected based on the CMYK color conversion setting. Select [Use Embedded RGB Profile] or [Use Embedded CMYK Profile] for a PDF file that does not use PDF/X. |
