Tunneling occurs on the thick media

For some media whose thickness (base material + glue + liner) is about 250 μm, tunneling may occur.

Tunneling is the phenomenon in which a liner separates from its base material. This situation occurs when the media tension at the squeezing bar on Roll Winder RW-201 is too high.

If tunneling occurs, adjust the angle of the squeezing bar following the steps below.

  1. Open the top cover of Roll Winder RW-201.

  2. Loosen the thumbscrews of the squeezing bar and move the squeezing bar to "2".

  3. Tighten the thumbscrews.
