Adjusting the Aligning Roller
Adjust the aligning roller and resolve a meandering issue.
Before adjusting the aligning roller, perform the following: For details, refer to If a Meandering Has Occurred.
Check the media tension
Check the position of the media and parts
Clean glue sticking on the parts
During conveyance or print, loosen the two screws on the lateral side of the leading section.
Move the knob to right or left by one mark.
If you move the knob to right, media will be sent into the machine, slightly bending inward.
If you move the knob to left, media will be sent into the machine, slightly bending outward.
Tighten the screws.
Check the conveyance and if the meandering issue is not resolved, repeat steps 1 to 3.
If the media keeps touching lightly one of the media guides (media guides of tension roller 1) for 20 seconds or more while running, the meandering issue will be resolved. (The illustration below shows an example that the media is touching lightly the media guide (back side). )
Be sure to move the knob one mark at a time.
