The Auto Tray Switch (ATS) function has ability to automatically switch to other trays and continue printing if the paper in the feed tray runs out during printing while using the Auto Paper (APS) function. Paper of the same size and type must be loaded into the same orientation, in the feed tray to be switched.
Using this function helps you avoid issues such as the paper running out, allowing you to print large quantities without interruption.
The following settings are required to use this function.
- Enable the Auto Paper (APS) function
- In [Auto Tray Selection Setting], configure the settings of the feed tray that will be selected when the Auto Paper (APS) function is active (You can also set the priority of the feed tray to be switched.)
- In [Type for Auto Paper], configure the paper conditions that will be selected when the Auto Paper (APS) function is active
- Automatic Paper (APS) function automatically selects a feed tray loaded with the appropriate-size paper after system detects the size of original document.
