A fax address can be registered or edited using Web Connection. Although character input is a difficult process using the Touch Panel, it can be carried out easily if you use the computer.
Select [Store Address] - [Address Book] - [New Registration] in user mode or administrator mode of Web Connection. In [Search from Function], select [Fax], and configure the following settings.
Setting | Description |
---|---|
[No.] | Destination registration number. Select [Use opening number] to automatically assign the smallest available number. When you want to specify a number, select [Input directly] and then enter a number. |
[Name] | Enter the destination name (using up to 24 single-byte characters or 12 double-byte characters). |
[Sort Character] | You can sort destinations by registration name in accordance with the entered text in this field (using up to 24 single-byte characters or 12 double-byte characters). |

[Fax Number] | Enter the destination fax number (using up to 38 single-byte characters, including digits, symbols #, *, -, and characters T, P, and E).
|
[Confirm Fax Number] | Enter the fax number again. This option is displayed when [Confirm Address (Register)] is set to ON in [Fax Settings] - [Function Setting] - [Function ON/OFF Setting]. |
