Web Browser Settings

JavaScript

JavaScript must be enabled. Follow the procedure below to check the setting.

  • Internet Explorer: Select [Internet Options] from [Tools], select the [Security] tab, and then click [Custom Level] in order to select the option marked "Enable" for [Active Scripting].

  • Firefox: Select [Options] from [Tools], select [Content], and then check [Enable JavaScript].

Cookie

Cookies must be enabled. Follow the procedure below to check the setting.

  • Internet Explorer: Select [Internet Options] under [Tools], select the [Privacy] tab, and then move the slider to the "High" privacy setting.

  • Firefox: Select [Options] - [Privacy] from Tools, and select [Use custom settings for history] from the [Firefox will] drop-down list. In the options that now become available, check [Save Cookie].

Cache

Check the following cache setting from the Web browser.

  • Internet Explorer: Select [Internet Options] from Tools, select the [General] tab - [Browsing history] - [Settings], and set to [Every time I visit the webpage] under [Temporary Internet Files]. (For Internet Explorer 8 or later)

  • Firefox: Select [Options] from Settings, select [Advance] - the [Network] tab, and select [Override automatic cache management] under [Cached Web Content] to set the cache capacity to 0 MB. (For Firefox 7.0 or higher)

  • The names of the menus and items may vary by the version of your browser. For details, refer to the help of your web browser.
    If you use this function with the cache function enabled, a time out error may be displayed when you attempt to re-access after a time out error occurred in the administrator mode. In such case, the control panel of this machine is locked and inoperative, therefore you need to turn the main power on. To avoid such a problem, make sure the cache setting.
