Overview of Image Diagnosis

The machine equipped with Integrated Color Care Unit IQ-501 can use Image Diagnosis to diagnose whether lines, spots (Spot Noise (white spot or color loss), black or white patches, or back surface staining), etc. occur on images. You can enhance the stability of the image quality by making various adjustments after checking the diagnosis result.
The following two types of image diagnosis methods are available.

  • Simple Diagnosis

  • Output the horizontal band and vertical band charts from the machine, and perform Simple Diagnosis using Integrated Color Care Unit IQ-501.

  • Detailed Diagnosis

  • Output the Detailed Diagnosis item charts from the machine, and perform Detailed Diagnosis using Integrated Color Care Unit IQ-501. After this, if an image error occurs, make appropriate adjustments.

Tips

  • Image Diagnosis is not displayed on a machine that is not equipped with Integrated Color Care Unit IQ-501. Also, Image Diagnosis is not displayed by default. To use this setting, please contact your service representative.

Tips

  • To perform Auto Selection, set Screen1 or Screen2 in Custom Screen to Dot190. For details about Custom Screen setting, refer to Custom Screen.

  • To use Image Diagnosis for diagnosis purposes, you can change the image error detection level. For details, contact your service representative.

  • You should perform Image Diagnosis at least once after turning the main body on every day.

  • When the image analysis and diagnosis are completed, diagnosis analysis data and diagnosis scan image data are generated. The generated diagnosis results are sent to the service representative as logs if permitted by the setting. For details about sending logs, contact Error Image Send Permission Setting or your service representative.

  • The number of sheets that are output for each diagnosis chart is included in the print count.
