Status indicator light MK-744 is optional.

1	Status LED	Displays the machine condition in four colors of light.

Status indicator light (color)	Machine state	Remedy
Red	The machine stops by the error occurrence, such as paper jam, replenishing toner supply, or replacing the media. The status indicator lights in red before the machine stops when the remaining toner is 1 % or less.	Check the machine state on the control panel. For details about troubleshooting such as paper jam, refer to If Mishandled paper Message is Displayed. For details on replacing the media or replenishing toner supply, refer to Changing the media, Consumables.
Orange	The message for attention to toner is displayed. Also it lights in orange when the waste toner box is nearly full.	Check the machine state on the control panel. For details, refer to Replenishing Toner Supply.
Green	Printing is in process.	No action is required.
Blue	Ready for printing.	No action is required.
Off	Main power switch or sub power switch is off. Or, printing is not available if the machine is warming up or any door is opened.	If the status indicator light is not lit other than the cases stated in the left column, refer to the message on the control panel.
