Description

1

[Wind current roll diameter]

Displays the current wind roll diameter on Roll Winder RW-201.

2

[Wind tension]

Specifies the tension for the winding shaft on Roll Winder RW-201.

Be sure to set it to 10 kgf in usual operation.

3

[Max roll diameter/Preliminary alert diameter]

Specify the maximum roll diameter for the time when the alarm sounds. If the maximum diameter is detected, the preliminary alert sounds, and the machine operates in accordance with [Wind roll diameter stop] / [Wind roll diameter alert] on the [Machine setting] screen.

Up to 520 mm can be specified. Be sure to set it to 500 mm in usual operation.

Description

1

[Tension ON]/[Tension OFF]

Press [Tension ON] to apply tension to the media on Roll Winder RW-101. The value set in [Paper feed tension] is applied.

Pressing [Tension OFF] does not start printing.

2

[Current roll diameter of paper feed]

Displays current roll diameter of the media set on Roll Winder RW-101.

3

[Paper feed tension]

Specifies the tension for the feeding shaft on Roll Winder RW-101.

Be sure to set it to 10 kgf in usual operation.

4

[Roll end diameter]

Set the minimum diameter for the media set on Roll Winder RW-101. If the roll end is detected, the machine operates in accordance with the [Roll end stop] / [Roll end alert] on the [Machine setting] screen.

Be sure to set it to 120 mm in usual operation. To change the setting, refer to How to set a roll end diameter (Adjustment with no paper detection).

How to set a roll end diameter (Adjustment with no paper detection)

Improves the accuracy of no paper detection by adjustment of the roll end diameter.

Measure the thickness (including glue and liner) of media and outside diameter of a media core with a caliper square or micro gauge, and then set the roll end diameter referring to the following table.

    • Set the measured value as equal to or less than the values in row and column.

    • Example: If the media thickness (including glue and liner) is 0.090 and the  outside diameter of media core is φ83.0, see the value in the ≦0.100 column and ≦84.2 row, and set the diameter of roll end to 94.

    • If the setting value is small, paper may run out before detecting no paper. Set the value retaining a certain amount.

    • When the diameter of roll end is set to nearly the end of paper, adjust the setting every time you replace the media.
