What Is APPE?

The system’s controller has APPE (Adobe PDF Print Engine) installed.

Suitable for printing that directly reproduces PDF data images. It is especially well suited to reproducing transparency effects.

To print using Print Manager / machine hot folders / Hot Folder, select APPE on the system.

Tips

• When printing using the printer driver, transparency effects cannot be reproduced as the CPSI (Configurable PostScript Interpreter) performs RIP processing. Select APPE if you want to reproduce transparency effects when printing.
