Overview

Set the dehumidify fan heater that prevents paper sticking and paper jams.

NOTICE

One of the following options is required to use this function.

  • Large Capacity Unit LU-202m or Large Capacity Unit LU-202XLm with Dehumidifier Heater HT-503 mounted
  • Paper Feeder Unit PF-602m with Dehumidifier Heater HT-504 or Dehumidifier Heater HT-505 mounted
  • Paper Feed Unit PF-707m with Dehumidifier Heater HT-506 mounted
Tips

If [Auto] is selected, the dehumidify fan heater automatically turns on when

  • coated paper is selected;
  • Main power switch or Sub power switch is set to ON while coated paper is selected; or
  • the paper tray is set while coated paper is selected.

Setting Procedure

In [Dryness Preparation], set whether to perform the dryness preparation of the dehumidify fan heater.

  • [ON]: Always performs dryness preparation of the dehumidify fan heater after opening or closing the paper tray.

  • [OFF]: Does not perform dryness preparation of the dehumidify fan heater when the remaining amount of paper is not changed after the paper tray is opened or closed.

NOTICE
  • Printing cannot be performed from the paper tray under pre-drying.
  • Immediately after the paper is loaded or when the humidity outside the machine changes, the humidity inside the paper tray being dehumidified may change, which may cause the coated paper to stick. Pre-drying stirs the warm air for a certain period of time using the dehumidify fan heater and the paper feed fan of the paper feed option, enabling you to forcibly dehumidify the inside of the paper tray and the paper.

Each Set the operation of the dehumidify fan heater mounted in the paper tray.

  • If there is a possibility that coated paper or textured paper may stick, we recommend that you set [Compulsively ON].

  • Prints can be made from the paper tray for which dryness preparation was completed (at this time, dehumidifying is controlled using only the dehumidify fan heater).
