Adjustment Flow for Changing Screens

Perform the following image quality adjustments after changing the screen.

Tips

This adjustment is the same as when performing adjustments during the setup of the system.
The use of [Package Color Auto Adj.] allows automatic flow adjustment. The optional Intelligent Quality Optimizer IQ-601 and Video Interface Kit VI-514 are required to perform this adjustment. For details, refer to Automatic Batch Color Adjustment (What Is [Package Color Auto Adj.]?).

Tips

When special toner is used, [Package Color Auto Adj.] is not available. Manually adjust each adjustment item. For details, refer to [Package Color Manual Adj.].

Step 1

Screen Selection

Set the screen assignment ([Custom Screen]) from the machine, and select the screen method ([Screening]) from the printer driver.

Step 2

Automatically adjust the color reproducibility of all of the output paper.

Step 3

[Density Balance Auto. Adj.]

Step 4

Perform [Color Density Manual Control].

Step 5

Create a printer profile.
If [G7] is set, create a printer profile after performing [G7 Calibration] (for About Advanced [Controller Calibration]).

Tips

If Intelligent Quality Optimizer IQ-601 is not mounted, create a printer profile with AccurioPro ColorManager. For details about AccurioPro ColorManager, refer to the AccurioPro ColorManager User's Guide.
When using special toner, carry out calibration using a colorimeter. For details, refer to the AccurioPro ColorManager User's Guide.
