Measuring the Color of a Black Paper Chart Using MYIRO-9 or FD-9 in [Density Balance Adjustment]
Overview
You can measure the color of a chart printed on black paper and register the colorimetric data in this system.
To measure the color with a black paper chart, use the colorimeter compatible with AccurioPro ColorManager.
- When measuring the color with a black paper chart using the colorimeter MYIRO-9 or FD-9, you need to perform chart processing. For details, refer to step 5.
Procedure
1
In [Administrator Setting] - [System Setting] - [Expert Adjustment] - [Quality Adjustment] - [Density Balance Adjustment], select [Density Balance Chart Output].
2
Select [Type1] of [<Measure via Spectrophotometer-1 (FD-9/MYIRO-9)>], and press [Print Mode].
4
Select the paper tray that has black paper loaded in it, and print a chart on the black paper.
5
Cut out the black paper chart printed in step 4 at position a shown in the figure.
Be sure to cut it out so that it includes b (the lowest part) shown in the figure.
The number printed below the chart is required when you register the colorimetric data on this system. Make a note of it so that you do not forget.
6
Attach double-sided tape to the back of the chart cut out in step 5 as shown in the figure.
7
Execute step 1 to step 2 again, select the paper tray that has white paper loaded in it, and print a chart on white paper.
8
Paste the chart with the double-sided tape attached in step 6 (figure c) on top of the white paper chart printed in step 5 (figure d).
9
Measure the color of the chart created in step 8 with MYIRO-9 or FD-9.
- For details about how to register the colorimetric data scanned in step 9 to this system, refer to the AccurioPro ColorManager User's Guide.
