For More Stable Image Quality
Overview
This section describes operations for more stable color reproduction.
The adjustment items may differ depending on the options mounted on the system.
NOTICE
Changing the settings in order to further stabilize the image quality may result in the following.
- The number of sheets printed within a set period of time during high-volume printing may decrease
Recommended Settings (With Intelligent Quality Care Unit IQ-501 Mounted)

Select [Stability] in [Stabilization Adj. Setting].
Productivity may decrease as correction frequency increases.
After performing [Stabilization Adj. Setting], change the [Color Density Control] settings if the image quality is unstable. For details, refer to Section 2 in "Recommended Settings".

Change the settings for [Color Density Control] - [Basic Setting] as follows. Increase the frequency at which Periodical Adjustment (automatic adjustment) is performed to stabilize image quality.
- Set [Periodical Adj. Execution] to [ON]
- Set [Adjustment Interval] to [ON]: 500 sheets
Tips
- Perform [Color Density Manual Control] (manual adjustment) before the job to further stabilize the image quality.

*2: If Intelligent Quality Care Unit IQ-501 is not mounted, perform [G7 Calibration] and create a printer profile with ColorManager. For details about ColorManager, refer to the ColorManager User's Guide.

Perform [Controller Calibration] before a job or every 500 sheets. Increasing the frequency stabilizes image quality.
