Target option: Intelligent Quality Care Unit IQ-501 or Fiery color server
The unit is converted from mm or inch to pt in RIP processing of the Fiery color server. At this time, a rounding error may occur because the number is indivisible.
If a rounding error occurs, the image position is misaligned by 1 pt (approximately 0.35 mm / 0.013").
In this case, the original image position is also misaligned, so this misalignment cannot be adjusted using the [Auto Image Adjustment] function of Intelligent Quality Care Unit IQ-501.
Work Time: 10 mins
This problem can be resolved by setting [Image Shift] in the printer driver or Command WorkStation.
A misalignment between the front and back positions occurs for several reasons. Check whether the paper used for both sides adjustment is cut correctly.
The following procedure shows an example for the Fiery color server.
[AutoMeasure] allows you to collectively adjust multiple paper trays, or output multiple charts to enhance the adjustment accuracy.
It is recommended that you shift the front side by 1 pt (approximately 0.35 mm / 0.013") in the paper feed direction.
