Settings Anyone can Change

To register E-mail subjects ([Subject])

Register a fixed subject phrase of the E-mail message. You can register up to 10 subject phrases.

To register a new subject, specify an unregistered number in the subject list, and select [Edit].

Description

[Default Tab]

Select the default display of the main screen in the scan/fax mode (default: [Address Book]).

[Program Default]

Select a page to be displayed in the main screen of [Program] (default: [PAGE1]).

This setting is only applied to the classic style screens.

[Address Book Default Index]

Select the index and destination type that are initially shown when [Address Book] is displayed.

  • [Index]: Select the index search text that has been selected when the destination was registered (default: [Main]).

  • [Address Type]: Select a destination type to be displayed such as E-mail, fax and User Box (default: [All]).

[Default Address Sort Method]

Select the list order of destinations to be displayed in [Address Book] between an order by registration number and by registration name (default: [Name]).

If you select the registration name, destinations are sorted according to [Name] specified for the destinations.

This setting is only applied to the classic style screens.

[Default Address Display Method] (Classic style)

Select whether to set the default display of the [Address Book] of classic style to the button view or list view (default: [One-Touch Button Layout]).

[Default Address Display Method] (Basic style)

Select whether to set the default display of the list of registered destinations of basic style to the button view or list view (default: [One-Touch Button Layout]).

[Address Button Size Setting]

Select the size of a button to display [Address Book] with (default: [Standard]).

This setting is only applied to the classic style screens.

To activate case sensitivity each time a registered destination is searched ([Search Option Settings])

[Default Scan/Fax Settings]

[Multiple Addresses Restriction Setting]

When prohibiting the user from using broadcasting, set this option to ON (default: OFF).

[Prohibit continuous selection of broadcast destinations.]

When displaying the confirmation screen to successively select destinations, set this option to ON (default: ON).

This setting is available when [Multiple Addresses Restriction Setting] is set to OFF.

[Allow full selection of group destinations.]

When displaying the [Select All] button on the Group destination specification screen, set this option to ON (default: OFF).

This setting is available when [Multiple Addresses Restriction Setting] is set to OFF and [Prohibit continuous selection of broadcast destinations.] to ON.

[Changing Job Priority]

When allowing the user to change the job priority order, set this option to ON (default: ON).

[Date/Time Setting]

Select the display format of date and time if the [Date/Time Setting] of [Header] or [Footer] is set to [Print].

[Distribution Number]

Specify the content of distribution number to be displayed if the [Distribution Number] of [Header] or [Footer] is set to [Print].

  • [Primary Field]: Enter a text to be added to the distribution number for printing (using up to 20 characters).

  • [Output Method]: Select the number of digits.

  • [Start Number Specification]: Specify the number to start distribution numbers.

[Header]/[Footer]

Specify the items to be printed on header/footer.

  • [Header String]/[Footer String]: Enter a text to be printed (using up to 40 characters).

  • Select whether to print [Date/Time Setting], [Distribution Number], [Job Number], [Serial Number] (Engineering number of the machine), and [User Name/Account Name].

  • To edit or delete a registered header/footer, specify the target one in the header/footer list, and select [Check/Edit] or [Delete].

Display a preview image for each page of an original when it is scanned in scan/fax mode. Each preview image shows the scanned original as is.

When setting the preview screen with setting keys displayed as the default, set this option to ON (default: OFF).

[Original direction setting]

To display the screen for selecting the original loading direction when scanning the original pressing the Preview key, set this option to ON (default: ON).

[Preview Display Conditions (Standard Application)]

Select conditions to display a preview image (default: [Press Preview Key]).

  • [Jobs Executed]: Shows a preview image when pressing the Start key to execute a job as well as when pressing the Preview key.

  • [Press Preview Key]: Shows a preview image only when the Preview key is pressed.

[Preview Display Conditions (Registered Application)]

Select conditions to display a preview image when using the OpenAPI application (default: [Press Preview Key]).

  • [Jobs Executed]: Shows a preview image when pressing the Start key to execute a job as well as when pressing the Preview key.

  • [Press Preview Key]: Shows a preview image only when the Preview key is pressed.

Select whether to use an initial of the relevant function as a prefix for the file name (default: [Attach]). The following letters are used as prefixes for file name.

C: Copy

S: Fax/Scan, User Box

[Supplementary File Name]

Select whether to add a device name or desired text to the file name (default: [Device Name]). To add desired text, enter it.

For the device name, use the name you specified by selecting [Machine Setting] - [Input Machine Address] - [Device Name].

To print a list of registered E-mail subjects and body text ([Subject / body list])
