Loading paper into Multi Bypass Tray MB-508

When loading paper in Multi Bypass Tray MB-508, configure paper settings of bypass tray in Paper Setting on the MACHINE screen or the COPY screen.

When Paper Feed Unit PF-707m is also mounted, we recommend you feed coated paper using Paper Feed Unit PF-707m.

CAUTION

  • Do not use stapled paper, conductive paper (aluminum foil, carbon paper, etc.), or surface-processed paper (thermal paper, inkjet paper, etc.); otherwise, it may cause a fire.

  1. Open the bypass tray.

    • supplementary explanationWhen loading a large paper size, pull out the auxiliary guide.

  2. Load copy paper, then align the side guide plate to the paper.

    • supplementary explanationThe Amount indicator of the tray will change from  to  on the MACHINE screen and COPY screen.

    NOTICE

    • Do not load more than 250 sheets (80 g/m2 / 21 lb Bond). Also, do not load paper above the limit indicated on the side guide plate. Otherwise, a paper jam may be caused.

    • To load paper, align it against the left direction of the tray. If paper is not fully aligned against the left direction of the tray, paper skewing or a paper feeding failure will occur, which will cause a paper jam.

  3. When printing is completed, close the bypass tray.
