Using Energy-save Mode for Monochrome Printing

Select whether to activate the machine in energy-save mode for B/W printing.

Monochrome Energy-save Mode is activated when the following conditions are met. If some of the conditions are no longer met, the mode is switched to the normal mode (fusing priority mode). The normal mode is switched back to the Monochrome Energy-save Mode when the machine's sub power is turned on.

Color mode: Black
Paper type: Plain, Fine, Color Specific
Paper weight: 80 g/m2 / 21 lb Bond or less

This mode can be set in the following two ways.

Tips
  • When Mono Energy-save Mode is set to ON, the initial setting for the color mode on the COPY screen is Black, regardless of Copy Initial Setting.
