Using the IC Card for IdP Authentication
Setting flow
You can authenticate the IC card using the cloud authentication service (IdP).
IdP authentication can be performed simply by placing the IC card, so security can be enhanced without compromising user convenience.
To perform IdP authentication using the authentication card, follow the steps below to configure the settings.
- To use IdP authentication, you need to use MarketPlace and install the IWS application. For details, contact your service representative.
Configuring settings for performing IdP authentication using the IC card

Select [Security] - [Restrict User Access] in administrator mode of Web Connection (or in [Utility] - [Administrator] of this machine), and set [Biometric/IC Card Information Registration] to ON (default: OFF).

Select [User Auth/Account Track] - [Authentication Method] in administrator mode of Web Connection (or in [Utility] - [Administrator] of this machine), and set the authentication method.

Select [User Auth/Account Track] - [User Authentication Setting] - [IdP user authentication settings] in administrator mode of Web Connection (or in [Utility] - [Administrator] of this machine), and specify the expiration date.

| When using the cloud authentication service (IdP) to perform user authentication, set this option to ON (default: OFF). [Give priority to IdP authentication]: When giving priority to the IdP authentication while the MFP authentication or the external server authentication is combined with the IdP authentication, set this option to ON (default: OFF).

| When using IdP authentication with the IC card, select [IdP authentication only] (default: [Other authentication than IdP]). If [IdP authentication only] is selected, [Temporarily Save Authentication Information] is set to ON in [User Auth/Account Track] - [User Authentication Setting] - [IdP user authentication settings], and [Overwrite User Info] to [Restrict]. |

| Configure settings to authenticate the user who logs in to this machine using IdP authentication by IC card. [Expiration Date]: Specify the expiration date of the IC card authentication credentials saved in this machine (default: [90] days).

Registering the IdP authentication user's IC card information
Register the IC card information used for IdP authentication. The IC card information can also be registered by the user.

Place the IC card on the IC Card Authentication Unit.

If a message stating that the card is not registered is displayed, tap [OK].

Select the cloud service to use for authentication.

Enter your password and other credentials in the authentication screen, and log in.

If a message stating that the card registration has succeeded is displayed, tap [OK].
Deleting the IdP authentication user's IC card information
Delete the IC card information that is registered in the authentication information of the user authenticated by IdP.

Select [Utility] - [Administrator] - [User Auth/Account Track] - [User Authentication Setting] - [IdP user authentication information], and click [Edit].

Confirm that [Registered] is displayed in [Register Auth. Info.] - [Card Auth.Registration] on the [IdP user authentication information] screen, and click [Delete].
