1 issue that can commonly occur during printing is the image position misalignment.
The accuracy of the image position can differ depending on the ambient temperature or humidity, the condition of the system, and the texture of the paper type used.
The image position should be regularly adjusted in order to achieve stable accuracy when it comes to image positioning.
"Image Position Adjustment" is a function used for adjusting the position where an image is placed during printing.
When performing 1-sided printing: Adjust the printing position on the front side so that the image is placed in the desired position.
When performing 2-sided printing: Adjust the image position on the front and back sides of the paper so that there is as little deviation between the two sides as possible.
Be sure to first adjust the reference position to determine the correct image printing position.
With this system, you can adjust the lead-edge position, centering, and magnification of an image when printing. For details, refer to [Printer Adjustment].
After setting the reference position on the system, adjust the image position at the following three timings.
The operations may differ depending on the options mounted on the system. For details, refer to the reference page.
Perform at User Discretion During Use of the System
When using a new type of paper *
When you have changed the paper in the tray
When the accuracy of the front and backside position becomes a concern
When finishing adjustments are required after executing the job: Adjustment Workflow for Each Job
*: If you have made adjustments to paper of a new type, weight, or size, register the adjustment results on the system as a "paper profile". Then, the next time when you make a print using the same paper conditions, you can use this paper profile to make the paper setting process more efficient.
For details about the "paper profile", refer to following.
To increase the finishing accuracy even more, adjust the image position for each job.
The procedure may differ depending on the operating environment. Use the correct procedure for the task at hand.
For details about the various functions, refer to the reference page.
Manual adjustment using the system | Adjusts for any misalignment of the printing positions on the front and back sides.
Sets the original image position on paper when the original image is larger than the actual printing area, and prints the required part. This allows for the required section to be printed on the paper without having to change the size of the original image.
Arbitrarily shifts the image position to make adjustments.
Manual adjustment with AccurioPro Print Manager | Adjust using the application via a computer connected to the system over a network. Arbitrarily shifts the image position to make adjustments.
Automatic adjustments | The image position can be adjusted automatically when Intelligent Quality Care Unit IQ-501 is mounted on the system. This helps save time compared to making adjustments manually, making adjustment work more efficient.
System | Real time adjustments during printing. For details, refer to To Perform Auto Image Adjustment.
Configure settings to perform adjustment automatically each time the specified number of sheets is printed. For details, refer to [Periodical Both Sides Adj.].
After the system is turned on or when a new sheet of paper is used, the Intelligent Quality Care Unit IQ-501 reads and automatically adjusts the front and back using the output chart. For details, refer to [AutoMeasure].
PS Plug-in Driver | Automatic both-side adjustment based on the actual image of the job. For details, refer to Setting Procedure (Performing [Auto Duplex Adjustment]). |
