Image position adjustment is a form of adjustment for minimizing any deviation in image position in order to match the print positions on the front and backside of pages when performing 2-sided printing.
The accuracy of the front and back printing differs depending on the ambient temperature or humidity, the condition of the system, and the quality of the paper type used. You should regularly adjust the image position in order to ensure stable both-side accuracy.
Perform image position adjustment at the following 3 timings.
After powering on
When using a new type of paper
When you have changed the paper in the tray
When the accuracy of the front and backside position becomes a concern
Make the adjustments while referring to the print result.
Check the positioning on both sides after completing the adjustments.
Check that any misalignment between the 4 crop marks on both sides of the paper is within 0.6 mm in both the AB and XY directions.
