If printing paper is not set properly, it may cause a finishing error.
[Paper Measurement] measures target paper using the optional Intelligent Media Sensor IM-104 even if the type or weight of the paper loaded in a paper tray is not known, thereby enabling you to easily configure the appropriate paper setting.
The following option is required to use the [Paper Measurement] function.
[Paper Measurement] measures paper fed from one of the following options.
The following types of paper are judged by Intelligent Media Sensor IM-104. For example, if colored paper is measured, it is judged to be fine paper.
Press [Reset] to return the current settings to the default.
If you want to use custom-size paper, set the custom paper size before measuring. For details about the setting method, refer to Setting Procedure (Setting the Custom Paper Size).
Press [OK] to return to the [Paper Setting] screen.
The [PRINT MODE] screen is displayed.
Paper is measured and output from the Purge tray of Intelligent Media Sensor IM-104.
The measurement results are reflected in the paper tray, and the paper settings are changed.
Each time [Change Unit] is pressed, the weight unit is switched.
A user profile or preset profile candidate that matches the paper type is displayed based on the paper measurement results.
You can select a profile from the candidates and apply it to the paper tray.
Select from the displayed candidates.
You can press [Confirm Details] to confirm the detailed setting of the selected paper profile.
The selected paper profile is reflected in the [Paper Tray] field on the [MACHINE] screen.
