Rotate/Skew Adjustment

Tips
  • If User Setting or Administrator Setting - Common Setting - Both Sides Rotate/Skew in UTILITY is set to Disable, the Rotate/Skew adjustment does not function. To perform the Rotate/Skew adjustment, set Both Sides Rotate/Skew to Enable.

  1. Press Paper Setting on the MACHINE screen.

  2. Press the tray you performed Front adjustment for.

  3. Press Change Set.

  4. Press Both Sides Adj..

  5. Press Rotate/Skew, and press Chart Adjustment.

  6. Press Print Mode.

  7. When the PRINT MODE screen is displayed, press Start on the control panel.

  8. Press Exit PrintMode.

  9. Measure the gap between the guide for each of [1] to [4] in the back side (Back) and the guide in the front side (Front) of the second and third output charts.

    • supplementary explanation"A" (black guide) in the figure indicates the front side, and "B" (blue guide) indicates the back side (for explanation, guide B is shown in blue but printed in black on the actually output test chart).

    • supplementary explanationMeasure the gap between the print positions in the horizontal direction (X-axis) and vertical direction (Y-axis).

  10. Press X or Y of each point, and use the keypad or , / + on the screen to enter the numeric value.

    • supplementary explanationWhen setting X of 1 to -2.0 and Y to +1.5 using the keypad on the screen, select X in 1, and press 2, 0, and +/- in order. Then, select Y, and press 1 and 5 in order.

  11. When the entry is completed, press Adjustment Start.

  12. Press Chart Adjustment.

  13. Press Print Mode.

  14. When the PRINT MODE screen is displayed, press Start on the control panel.

  15. Check the misalignment of print position using the second and third output charts.

    • supplementary explanationRepeat Step 9 to 14 until the front and back are aligned.

  16. Press Exit PrintMode.

  17. Press Close.

  18. Press OK to finish the adjustment.
