Adjusting the Staple Center Position

You can adjust the staple center and paper fold positions.

As an example, how to adjust the staple position when it is misaligned upward (backward) by 1.5 mm from the center of the papers is explained below.

Meaning and Purpose of Staple Center Position Adjustment

  • When the staple position of saddle stitch stapling is misaligned from the paper half-fold position (center of paper), this function allows you to move the staple position forward or backward by specifying the desired value.

  • - value: Moves the punch hole position forward (downward).

  • + value: Moves the punch hole position backward (upward).

When to perform

  • When the staple position of saddle stitch and the paper half-fold position (center of paper) are misaligned

Precautions

  • Adjust the staple paper width before using this function.

  1. Measure the current misalignment 'a' of the staple position using a ruler.

  2. On the touch panel of the main body, press Adjustment on the MACHINE screen.

  3. Press Finisher Adjustment on the Adjustment Menu screen.

  4. Press Saddle Stitcher Adjustment on the Finisher Adjustment menu.

  5. Press Staple Center Position on the Saddle Stitcher Adjustment menu.

  6. Enter the adjustment value and press Set.

    Example: Move the staple position downward (forward) by 1.5 mm.

    • Press +/-, 1, 5, and Set to enter the value [-15]. This moves the staple position 1.5 mm downward (forward).
