When multiple jobs are collectively printed, partition paper may not be inserted between jobs.

Cause

The job patch function cannot be combined with the partition paper function.

* Job patch: Function that enhances printing efficiency by automatically collecting small jobs into a single job under the controller when a print instruction is issued collectively for multiple small jobs.

* Partition paper: Function that inserts partition paper between jobs.

Jobs with the job patch function applied are handled as a single large job. Therefore, partition paper cannot be inserted between jobs.

Option

Overview

Precautions

When turning the job patch function OFF to use the partition paper function, perform re-RIP for the RIPed data.

Procedure

To turn the job patch function OFF, follow the below steps.

1. Launch Configure on CWS or Fiery WebTools.

2. Select Job Management, and clear the Job Patch check box. (This check box is selected by default.)

To use the partition paper function, follow the below steps

1. Right-click the job on CWS, and select Remove Raster Data.

2. Select the target job, and right-click to open Properties.

3. Select Finish - Sort/Group - Offset Sort, and instruct Print.

The job ticket with the offset function specified is enabled by re-RIP, which causes this event to be avoided.
