When data including a spot color(s) (special color) is printed, the printing speed becomes slower than usual.

Cause

This is because the target spot color table is not registered in the controller.

In this example, RIP processing is performed with the CMYK alternative values after the spot color table in the controller was searched, so the printing speed becomes slower than usual.

Option

KMI controllers

Working time

One hour or less

Overview

Register the desired spot color table in the controller.

Precautions

When the spot color (special color) name is not registered correctly, the spot color table does not function.

Procedure

1. Open data using application, and check the spot color name.

Example: In Adobe Acrobat, select Tools - Print Production - Output Preview, and point the mouse cursor at the target spot color; you can check the spot color name.

2. Obtain the CMYK value of the target spot color using the Tone Curve Adjustment function of Color Centro.

3. Register a new spot color and its CMYK value using the Spot Color function of Color Centro.
