2-Side Slit Finishing Adj.: Adjusting the 2-Side Slitting Speed

Adjust the 2-side slitting speed of Trimmer Unit TU-503 mounted on Saddle Stitcher SD-513 to reduce skewing or napping in the slit part.

  1. Press [Adjustment] on the [MACHINE] screen to display the [Adjustment Menu] screen.

  2. Press [Finisher Adjustment], [Saddle Stitcher Adjustment], and [2-Side Slit Finishing Adj.] in sequence.

  3. Press [Print Mode].

  4. Load A3 paper or 11 17 paper into any tray, then select its tray button.

  5. Press Start on the control panel.

    A sample pattern will be output.

  6. Check the slit part for skewing or napping.

  7. Press [Exit PrintMode] to return to the [2-Side Slitting Finishing Adjustment] screen.

  8. If any adjustment is required, use the touch panel keypad to enter the set value.

    • Adjustment Range: -4 ([Slow (Reduce rough cut)]) to +4 ([Fast (Reduce curve)]) (1 step = 5 mm/sec.)

    • Use [+/-] to specify the value to be positive or negative.

  9. Press [Set] to change the Current Value.

  10. Repeat steps 3 to 9 until the desired result is obtained.

  11. Press [Return].

    The screen returns to the [Saddle Stitcher Adjustment Menu] screen.
