[Encryption]

Set the password for browsing the scan data to be stored in PDF format.

Security can be enhanced because the password is required to open a file.

Up to 32 single-byte characters can be entered.

NOTICE

The following setting is required to use this function.

• Set [File Type] to [PDF].

Press [Encryption].

Enter the password, and press [OK].

Check that [Encryption] is set on the [Scan Settings] screen.

Load the original, and press Start on the Control panel.

Scanning starts, and the encrypted scan data is sent to the selected destination.
