Change the default main screen in copy mode of classic style.

Setting

Description

[Basic Screen]

Select the initial display of the main screen in copy mode (default: [Basic]).

[Quick Settings 1]/[Quick Settings 2]

To arrange setting keys on the main screen of the copy mode, set [Quick Settings 1] or [Quick Settings 2] to ON, and select the desired keys (default: OFF).

  • [Color]: Select a color for copying.

  • [Zoom]: Select a zoom ratio for copying.

  • [Duplex/Combine]: Select the 2-sided copy setting and page combination setting.

  • [Original]: Select a original type.

  • [Quality/Density]: Select an image quality of the original.

  • [Copy Program]: Select a registered copy program.

[Default Paper Type Display]

When custom paper is registered by the administrator, select whether to preferentially display custom paper on the paper type setting screen (default: [Standard Paper]).

  • [Standard Paper]: Preferentially displays the paper registered on this machine in advance.

  • [User Paper Name]: Preferentially displays custom paper registered by the administrator arbitrary.

To display a screen indicating that a copy job is in progress ([Copy Screen])

To display:

Setting

Description

[Copy Screen]

Configure settings for the screen displayed in copy operations.

  • [Copy Operating Screen]: When displaying the screen indicating that printing is in process, set this option to ON (default: OFF). You can check the detailed copy settings and the job progress status with the screen that appears while printing. In addition, you can reserve the next job by tapping [Next Box Job], [Next Fax/Scan Job], or [Next Copy Job].

[FAX Active Screen]

Select whether to display the screen indicating the machine status during fax transmission.

  • [TX Display]: When displaying the screen indicating that fax transmission is in process, set this option to ON (default: OFF). You can check information on a destination and document in this screen.

  • [RX Display]: When displaying the screen indicating that fax receiving is in process, set this option to ON (default: OFF). You can check information on sender and fax being received in this screen.

[Animation Settings]

Select whether to display in animation view when opening or closing a pop-up window.

  • [When Pop-up Opens]: When displaying an animation view to open the pop-up window, set this option to ON (default: OFF).

  • [When Pop-up Closes]: When displaying an animation view to close the pop-up window, set this option to ON (default: OFF).

[Accessibility Settings]

Configure settings concerning panel operations of this machine.

  • [Zoom Display Setting]: When pinching out (enlarging) the entire panel screen of this machine, set this option to ON (default: OFF). When enlarging, you can drag to move the display area while maintaining the zoom ratio.

[Paper jam release procedure display settings]

When displaying the paper jam clear procedure when a paper jam occurs, set this option to ON (default: ON).

To specify whether to automatically change to the optimum zoom ratio when [Combine] or [Booklet] is enabled ([Auto Zoom for Combine/Booklet])

Description

[Auto Zoom for Combine/Booklet]

Select whether to adjust the image automatically to optimal zoom ratio when you specify [Combine] or [Booklet] and select [Auto] for [Paper] (default: [Auto Display Zoom]).

  • [Auto Display Zoom]: Automatically adjusts to the optimal zoom ratio. The following zoom ratios are specified according to the function.
    <Inch area>
    [2in1], [Booklet]: 64.7%
    [4in1]: 50.0%
    [8in1]: 32.3%
    <Centimeter area>
    [2in1], [Booklet]: 70.7%
    [4in1]: 50.0%
    [8in1]: 35.3%

  • [Off]: Select this option to specify a zoom ratio manually.

[Default Copy Settings]

Change the default settings (settings when the power is turned on, or the Reset key is used) in the copy mode (default: [Factory Default]).

You can change the setting by selecting [Current Setting] after the setting in the copy mode is changed.

[Default Enlarge Display Settings]

When Enlarge Display is selected, change the default settings (settings when the power is turned on, or the Reset key is used) in the copy mode (default: [Factory Default]).

You can change the setting by selecting [Current Setting] after the setting in the copy mode is changed.

[When AMS Direction is Incorrect]

When you have selected [Auto] in [Zoom], select whether to print the original even if the original loading direction is different from the paper direction (default: [Print]).

  • [Print]: Makes prints regardless of the original loading direction.

  • [Delete Job]: Deletes the job if the original loading direction is different from the paper direction.

[Separate Scan Output Method]

Select the timing to start printing when scanning an original by specifying [Separate Scan] (default: [Page Print]).

  • [Page Print]: Starts printing while the original is being scanned. Select this option if you want to focus on efficiency.

  • [Batch Print]: Starts printing after all originals were scanned. You can delete data before printing begins if you find an incorrect setting etc.

[Select Tray for Insert Sheet]

Configure the default paper tray loaded with paper when the [Cover Sheet], [Insert Sheet], or [Chapters] is set (default: [Tray 2]).

[Booklet shortcut mode setting]

Select whether to automatically set the Booklet function to ON when the setting screen for [Booklet] is displayed (default: OFF).

[Select Tray for Paper Insertion function.]

When automatically selecting Bypass Tray as the paper tray while paper is loaded in the Bypass Tray, select [Bypass Tray] (default: [Bypass Tray]).

The paper tray is changed to the Bypass Tray when paper is loaded into the Bypass Tray, and the paper setting screen is displayed.

[Auto Zoom (Platen)]

If you want to set [Zoom] to [Auto] when selecting paper for copying after loading an original on the Original Glass, set this option to ON (default: OFF).

[Auto Zoom (ADF)]

If you want to set [Zoom] to [Auto] when selecting paper for copying after loading an original on the ADF, set this option to ON (default: ON).

[Specify Default Tray when APS Off]

Select a paper tray to switch to after releasing the selection of [Auto] for [Paper] (default: [Tray Before APS ON]).

  • [Tray Before APS ON]: Switches to the paper tray specified before releasing the selection of [Auto].

  • [Default Tray]: Switches to Tray 1.

[Print Jobs During Copy Operation]

Select the operation to be performed when a print job or fax job is received during copy operations on the Touch Panel (default: [Print]).

  • [Print]: Immediately prints a print or fax job.

  • [Receive Only]: Prints a print or fax job after copy operations are completed.

  • The following settings are displayed when the setting change privilege is assigned to users in [Administrator Security Levels] (Here).
    [Auto Zoom (Platen)], [Auto Zoom (ADF)], [Specify Default Tray when APS Off], [Print Jobs During Copy Operation]

[Default Copy Settings]

[Default Enlarge Display Settings]

When Enlarge Display is selected, change the default settings (settings when the power is turned on, or the Reset key is used) in the copy mode (default: [Factory Default]).

You can change the setting by selecting [Current Setting] after the setting in the copy mode is changed.

[When AMS Direction is Incorrect]

When you have selected [Auto] in [Zoom], select whether to print the original even if the original loading direction is different from the paper direction (default: [Print]).

  • [Print]: Makes prints regardless of the original loading direction.

  • [Delete Job]: Deletes the job if the original loading direction is different from the paper direction.

[Separate Scan Output Method]

Select the timing to start printing when scanning an original by specifying [Separate Scan] (default: [Page Print]).

  • [Page Print]: Starts printing while the original is being scanned. Select this option if you want to focus on efficiency.

  • [Batch Print]: Starts printing after all originals were scanned. You can delete data before printing begins if you find an incorrect setting etc.

[Select Tray for Insert Sheet]

Configure the default paper tray loaded with paper when the [Cover Sheet], [Insert Sheet], or [Chapters] is set (default: [Tray 2]).

[Booklet shortcut mode setting]

Select whether to automatically set the Booklet function to ON when the setting screen for [Booklet] is displayed (default: OFF).

When automatically selecting Bypass Tray as the paper tray while paper is loaded in the Bypass Tray, select [Bypass Tray] (default: [Bypass Tray]).

  • [Login User Address]: Prohibit changing of the "From" address and use user's E-mail address. Administrator's E-mail address is used if the user’s E-mail address has not been registered.

[Synchronize User Authentication / Account Track By User]

When allowing the user to change the setting for synchronization between user authentication and account track, set this option to ON (default: ON).

This option is displayed when [Synchronize User Authentication & Account Track] (Here) is set to [Synchronize by User].

[Restrict Program Function Setting]

When prohibiting users from using the copy program or scan/fax program, set this option to ON (default: OFF).

[Multiple Addresses Restriction Setting]

When prohibiting the user from using broadcasting, set this option to ON (default: ON).

[Prohibit continuous selection of broadcast destinations.]

When displaying the confirmation screen to successively select destinations, set this option to ON (default: ON).

This setting is available when [Multiple Addresses Restriction Setting] is set to OFF.

[Allow full selection of group destinations.]

When displaying the [Select All] button on the Group destination specification screen, set this option to ON (default: OFF).

This setting is available when [Multiple Addresses Restriction Setting] is set to OFF and [Prohibit continuous selection of broadcast destinations.] to ON.

[Changing Job Priority]

When allowing the user to change the job priority order, set this option to ON (default: ON).

[Delete Other User Jobs]
