If the physical properties of the paper used for printing, such as the basis weight, differ from the paper settings in the paper tray, it may cause a finishing error.
By using the paper error detection function, the optional Intelligent Media Sensor IM-104 detects the paper while printing a job and ejects paper that has been fed with the incorrect settings.
This prevents printing errors and paper loss.
