What Is [Paper Measuring]?

If printing paper is not set properly, it may cause a finishing error.

[Paper Measuring] measures target paper using the optional Intelligent Media Sensor IM-101 even if the type or weight of the paper loaded in a paper tray is not known, thereby enabling you to easily configure the appropriate paper setting.

NOTICE

• The optional Intelligent Media Sensor IM-101 is required to use this function.

• A measurement result or paper profile that does not fit the selected paper tray is not able to be selected.

Tips

The following types of paper are judged by the optional Intelligent Media Sensor IM-101. For example, if colored paper is measured, it is judged to be fine paper.

• Plain
• Fine
• Coated (Glossy paper)
• Coated (Matte paper)

Tips

• The measurement result can be applied to an unused paper tray even while a job is running.
