[New(Measurement)]
Overview
Create a new spot color using the colorimeter.
Tips
- The measuring method varies depending on colorimeters. For details, refer to the user's manual of the colorimeter.
- The created spot color can be adjusted later. For details, refer to [Manual Adjustment] or [Adjustment by Printing the Chart].
Setting Procedure

Click [Settings] - [Instrument], and select the connected colorimeter.

Click [New(Measurement)].

Set the colorimeter to the white standard tile, and click [OK].

Press the Measure button of the colorimeter to acquire the measurement value.
The acquired measurement value is displayed.

Enter [Color Name].
Up to 31 single-byte or double-byte characters can be entered.
Matching with the spot color name in image data is performed with "Prefix + Color name". Enter the name correctly, including whether there is a space.
Spot colors of the same name cannot be stored in a spot color table.

Click [OK].
The measured colors are added to the spot color list.
