Authentication Unit (IC card type)

The Authentication Unit (IC card type) is an "IC card authentication" system that reads the IC card or NFC-compatible Android terminal to perform personal authentication. If you register a compatible noncontact IC card such as an employee ID card, you can use this machine synchronously with functions such as the user entering-leaving management to integrate the authentication system.

If this machine provides user authentication, you can log in to this machine or execute a print job using the IC card or NFC-compatible Android terminal authentication function.

Tips

  • To install the IC card or NFC authentication, the optional Authentication Unit (IC card type) is required. Also, to install the Authentication Unit (IC card type), the Working Table or Mount Kit MK-735 and Local Interface Kit are required.

  • To perform authentication using an Android terminal, the terminal must support Android 4.4 or as the operating system and provide the HCE function. Also, you need to install the Mobile for Android on the Android terminal and enable the authentication function by the IC card reader.
