Viewing the Operation Conditions and Settings of this Machine

Settings Anyone can Change

To check the IP address or function version of this machine ([Device Information])

To display:
  • [Utility]
    • [Device Information]

Display the function version of this machine, IP address (IPv4/IPv6), serial number, contact information (telephone), contact information (fax), version information, authentication function list, and QR code.

  • The QR code is displayed when [Mobile Connection Settings] - [QR Code Display Setting] (Here) is set to ON.

To check the counter information of this machine ([Meter Count])

To check the economy level of this machine ([Eco Info])

To check the active jobs on this machine or the job history ([Job List])

Job Screen

Displaying the Job screen

A job refers to an individual operation unit such as printing, sending, receiving, or saving.

Tap [Job List] on the home screen or on the main menu of classic style; you can view the active job or job history, or print a sending/receiving result report.

  • The icon and operation status of the active job are displayed while the job is running. For details on the icon types, refer to Here.

Viewing active jobs

Tap [In Progress] to display active or standby jobs on this machine. As necessary, you can reorder print jobs or delete a standby job.

Description

[Communication Type/Line]

Used to filter jobs to be displayed in the list based on the following conditions.

  • [All]: Displays all types of jobs for send jobs, receive jobs, and timer TX jobs regardless of the scan mode, fax mode, or line to be used.

  • [Scan]: Displays only scan jobs for send jobs.

  • [Fax]: Displays all fax jobs for send jobs and timer TX jobs regardless of the line to be used.

[Select Job Type]

Used to filter jobs to be displayed in the list based on the job type such as a print job or send job.

[Delete]

Deletes a job selected in the list.

[Increase Priority]

(Print Job)

Changes the printing priority when print jobs are queued. Select a job to be printed first in the list of queued print jobs, and also tap [Start].

  • The interrupted print job is automatically restarted when the preferential print job is completed.

  • If the currently processed print job cannot be interrupted due to Fold or Staple, the preferential print job is executed after the currently processed print job has been completed.

[Release Held Jobs]

(Print Job)

Configure the proof print function and display a list of executed print jobs using the printer driver.

When printing, select a desired print job, and tap [Start]. If necessary, you can change print settings or delete a job.

[Redial]

Manually sends a redial waiting fax you select from the list.

A redial waiting fax is sent automatically by the auto redial function after the specified time lapsed; however, you can manually start sending without waiting for automatic sending.

[Settings]

Check the setting of a job selected in the list.

[Forward]

Forwards a fax received by the in-memory proxy reception function to another destination.

Select a destination in the address book or directly enter it, and also tap [Start].

[Details..]

Check detailed information of a job selected in the list.

[Warning Display]

Displays the warning screen for an error when you select a job in which the error occurs.

Viewing the job history

Tap [Log] to display a list of jobs processed on this machine up till then. You can check a job that could not be ended due to an error.

[Select Job Type]

Used to filter jobs to be displayed in the list based on the job type such as a print job or send job. Jobs can be further filtered in combination with [Limitation Filter].

[Limitation Filter]

Used to filter jobs to be displayed in the list based on the selected conditions.

  • [All Jobs]: Displays all jobs.

  • [Finished Jobs]: Displays the jobs that have been ended normally.

  • [Deleted Jobs]: Displays the jobs that were deleted before they are ended.

Check detailed information of a job selected in the list.

  • If user authentication is installed on this machine, change the authentication method and clear all management data; the job history is deleted.

Printing a communication report

Tap [Comm. List] to print a fax report that contains the results of Scan, Fax TX, Fax RX, and fax communication (TX/RX) jobs. For a fax report, you can specify the number of destinations.

To print a communication report, select a target for [Report Type], tap [Selection Confirm]. Use the Start key to start printing.

Settings only the Administrators can Change

To print a list of user settings or administrator settings of this machine ([Management List])

To display:

Print a list of settings in this machine.

Change print settings as required, then tap [Start] to start printing.

To count the usage by paper type or size ([Paper Size/Type Counter])

To display:

          • [Paper Size/Type Counter]

Register a combination of paper size and paper type to manage counting of used sheets.

Tap the number to register, and then tap [Edit paper size/type] to select the paper type to combine with the paper size to be counted. If you do not specify paper types, select [No Selection].

TapĀ [Counter Clear] to clear the selected counter.

  • If you change a combination of paper size and paper type, the counter is reset.

To check the MAC address of this machine ([Device Setting])

Allows you to check the MAC address of the wireless network adapter.

To register a destination where to notify the time to replace consumables on this machine or warning information ([Status Notification Setting])

Configure the setting for notifying to the registered E-mail address when a warning such as for toner replacement or a paper jam occurs on this machine.

To register a notification destination, specify the IP address or E-mail address in the notification destination list, and select [Edit].

To notify to the IP address, configure the following settings.

Enter the E-mail address of the destination (using up to 253 characters). Use one of the following formats.
Example to enter the host name: "host.example.com"
Example to enter the IP address (IPv4): "192.168.1.1"

[Port Number]

If necessary, change the port number.

[Community Name]

Enter the community name (using up to 15 characters) (default: [public]).

[Alert]

Select items to be notified automatically. Select the check boxes of items to be notified.

To notify to the E-mail address, configure the following settings.

Configure the setting for sending counter information managed by this machine to a registered E-mail address.

Description

[Total Counter Notification Setting]

Enter a model name to be included in the notification mail message (using up to 20 characters).

[Schedule Setting]

Specify the notification schedule by [Daily], [Weekly], or [Monthly]. Up to two schedules can be registered. You can use different schedules for different purposes.

[Register Notification Address]

Register destination E-mail addresses. Also, select a notification schedule to be applied.

  • [E-mail Address]: Enter the E-mail address of the destination (using up to 320 characters, excluding spaces).

  • [Eco-Related Information Notification]: When notifying of Eco information, set this option to ON (default: ON).

  • [Notifies by Schedule1] or [Notifies by Schedule2]: Select a schedule to be applied to a destination from the schedules registered in [Schedule Setting].

[Test Notice]

When issuing a test notification, set [Send notice after setting complete,] to ON (default: OFF).

To allow users to send the usage frequency or configuration information of this machine ([Meter Count and Device Confirmation Tx Settings])

When permitting the user to send information such as the use frequency of the machine and function settings to our company, set this option to ON (default: OFF).

The information about this machine will be used by us for the improvement of service and functions in future.

  • Information about IP address and others related to security as well as private information such as address books will not be sent.

To print a list of network-related settings ([Network Settings List])

To display:

Print the list of network-related settings.

Change print settings as necessary, and select [Print] to start printing.

To change the order to sort the communication list on the Job History screen ([Job History Display Setting])

Configure settings to display the job history screen.

Setting

Description

[Communication history sort method]

Specify the sort order of [Comm. List] on the [Job List] screen.

Select whether to sort in the order of which the registration date/time is earlier or later (default: [Newest first]).
