Advanced Functions
This machine provides various advanced functions to enhance a multifunctional capability. For example, it provides functions such as voice guidance to help you carry out certain operations, a Web browser to facilitate Web browsing using the Touch Panel, and PDF processing to add PDF options.
The advanced functions are classified into functions that can be used in the standard setup and functions that can be used by registering optional license kits. The types of advanced functions that are available are as follows.

Web browser | Allows you to use a Web browser on the Touch Panel of this machine. You can access contents on the Internet or corporate networks through this machine connected to the network to enable page viewing or file printing. Voice guidance | Provides voice guidance to explain screens, keys, and key operations, which helps the user carry out operations or prevent incorrect operations from being carried out. This function also helps people who have difficulty viewing the screen to carry out operations more smoothly via voice guidance. It is available on the Enlarge Display screen, Guidance screen, Accessibility Settings screen, or Address Specification screen. PDF processing | Allows you to use features such as the PDF file encryption with a user's digital certificate, addition of file properties, creation of a PDF/A-based PDF file, and PDF linearization when sending a PDF file. Bar code font | Allows you to generate a bar code based on data sent to this machine from the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system, and print it from this machine. You can directly print data without using the printer driver. | Extension Memory LK-106 |
Unicode font | Allows you to print text information (unicode) of multiple languages sent to this machine from the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system. You can directly print data without using the printer driver. | Extension Memory LK-107 |
OCR font | In the standard, the OCR-B font (PostScript) is available. Enabling the advanced function allows use of the OCR-A font (PCL). OCR font is standardized font that enables text to be appropriately recognized when the OCR (Optical Character Recognition) is used. | Extension Memory LK-108 |
ThinPrint function | Configure settings to enable the ThinPrint function in this machine. ThinPrint is a function that realizes speedy printing by performing data compression or broadband control when sending a print job from ThinPrint Engine (.print Engine) to ThinPrint Client (.print Client). Serverless Pull Printing | A serverless pull printing group consists of multiple devices. Print jobs sent from the user's computer and stored on a device can be executed through any device in the group. TPM (Trusted Platform Module) | TPM (Trusted Platform Module) is a hardware chip used for processing such as information encryption and decryption. Security enhancement is realized by encrypting confidential information such as certificates and passwords of this machine.
