Enabling the Web browser function

• To enable the Web browser function, this machine is automatically connected to the License Management Server (LMS) on the Internet in order to register the license. Check that this machine can be connected to the Internet before beginning this procedure.

• To register a license via Internet, connect this machine to the License Management Server through a proxy server for remote diagnosis. How to configure a proxy server for remote diagnosis is explained using Web Connection. For details, refer to Here.

• If this machine cannot be connected to the License Management Server, you need to manually register the license. Before enabling the Web browser function, access the Web site of the License Management Server from the computer, then obtain license information required to enable the Web browser function. For details on how to obtain license information, refer to Here.

1. Tap [Utility] - [Administrator Settings] - [Network Settings] - [Web Browser Setting] - [Web Browser Usage Settings].

2. Select [ON], then tap [OK].

   This machine restarts automatically, and the Web browser becomes available.

   If you have not been able to enable the Web browser function, go to step 3 to register license information obtained from the website of the License Management Server.

3. Register license information on this machine.

   • If the file required to enable the license is stored on the USB memory, insert the USB memory device into this machine, then select [Install License from Ext. Memory]. Select [Yes] and tap [OK] to start processing to enable the Web browser function.

   • To manually enter the license code, select [Function/License Code], enter the license code, then tap [Install]. Select [Yes] and tap [OK] to start processing to enable the Web browser function.

   This machine restarts automatically, and the Web browser becomes available.

Obtaining license information

If this machine cannot be connected to the License Management Server (LMS), you need to manually register the license. Before enabling the Web browser function, access the Web site of the License Management Server through the computer, then obtain license information required to enable the Web browser function.

1. Select [Utility] - [Device Information] to display the serial number of this machine, then write down it.

2. Open the Web browser through a computer connected to the Internet, and connect this machine to the Web site of the License Management Server (LMS).

   • Web site address: https://licensemanage.com/activate

3. Enter the serial number of this machine on the Web site of the License Management Server (LMS).

   A license code is issued.
