Device Definition File (for the administrator)
The device definition file is an xml file that contains device information.
Creating device information reduces the number of steps required to enter device information in the LK-114_ManagerPort settings.
The xml hierarchical structure of the device definition file is as follows.
No. | Tag | Description |
---|---|---|
1 | <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> | Describe the xml version and encode. |
2 | <Address> | Describe the IP address or printer name of the storage machine. |
3 | <Port> | Describe the storage machine port. |
4 | <Name> | Describe the explanation about the storage machine. |
5 | <Address> | Describe the IP address or printer name of the client machine. |
6 | <Port> | Describe the client machine port. |
7 | <Name> | Describe the explanation about the client machine. |
When creating a device definition file, be sure to note the following points.
Add MFP device information on an <MFP> tag basis. Multiple <MFP> tags can be described depending on the number of MFPs.
MFP device information in the <Storage> and <Client> tags is displayed in the [Device] list of the LK-114_ManagerPort communication setting window.
[Device] list of [Primary device information]: MFP device information in the <Storage> tag
[Device] list of [Secondary device information]: MFP device information in the <Storage> tag and MFP device information in <Client> tag
The [Device] list is displayed in the format, "value of <Name> tag and (value of <Address> tag)".
