IP Address Fax Function

IP Address Fax is a function that sends and receives faxes within a limited network such as an intranet.

Specify an IP address for the destination. This function uses the same network as a computer, offering lower communication expenses than those incurred for normal fax transmission.

In addition to IP address, you can also use a host name and E-mail address to specify the destination.

The following describes the precautions for using the IP Address Fax.

  • To use the IP Address Fax function, ask your service representative to configure settings. For details, contact your service representative.

  • To use the IP Address Fax function, the optional Fax Kit is required.

  • Provide fax transmission in color, gray scale and black and white.

  • When a document in TIFF (Profile-C) format is received, the data is discarded and not printed.
