Required Settings
Scanning using HDD TWAIN drivers requires the following settings to be configured in advance.
- Connected to a network via TCP/IP
- The HDD TWAIN driver must be installed
- An application that supports the TWAIN scanner driver must be installed
Tips
- The HDD TWAIN driver is required to import scanner data onto a computer.

Scanning using Web Service drivers requires the following settings to be configured in advance.
- Connected to a network via TCP/IP
- The system should be installed to your computer as a WSD scan device
Procedure (Installing as a WSD Scan Device)

Check that [Network discovery] has been enabled.
[Network discovery] can be checked by clicking [Network and Sharing Center] in [Control Panel], and then [Change advanced sharing settings].

Open the [Devices and Printers] screen.
To access the [Devices and Printers] screen, select [Hardware and Sound] from [Control Panel].

Check that the system's scan icon is displayed.
The installation is complete once the icon is displayed.
Go to Step 4 if the icon is not displayed.

Click [Add a device] from the menu.
The [User Account Control] screen may display. Check the contents before continuing.

Select the system's scanner, and click [Next].
The driver software is installed.
