The PPD driver operates in the environment where systems are combined as follows.

Copy the PPD file to the CUPS model directory. (/usr/share/cups/model for most Linux systems)
In Add Printer of the CUPS printing system, specify PPD to add this machine.
For details on CUPS, refer to [Help] in the CUPS Web management page.
In [Configure Printer] of the CUPS printing system, set the functions.
In Add Printer of the CUPS printing system, specify PPD to add this machine.
Open the OpenOfficePrinterAdministrator tool.
Click New Printer.
In the Choose a device type window, select add a printer, and then click Next.
In the Choose a driver window, click import.
Select Generic 100C-1/85C-1 OpenOffice PPD and click OK.
In the Please Select a Suitable driver. list, select Generic 100C-1/85C-1 OpenOffice PPD, and then click Next.
In the Choose a command line window, select the printer registered to CUPS, and then click Next.
Click Finish.
In OpenOffice, select File-Print.
For Printer name, select Generic 100C-1/85C-1 OpenOffice PPD.
Click Properties.
Select the desired setting in Page size, and then click OK.
To configure settings other than Page Size, click [Configure Printer] in CUPS.
Click OK in the OpenOffice print window to print.
