Installing the printer on an Ethernet network

Before you install the printer on an Ethernet network, make sure that:

For Windows users

  1. Insert the Printer Driver and Documentations CD in the CD/DVD drive of your PC.

  2. Follow the instructions on the screen.

  3. A device is detected and it is displayed on a device list. Choose a device to install and click Next.

  4. Choose the component to install and click Next.

  5. Installation was completed.

For Macintosh users

  1. Connect the machine to an Ethernet network.

  2. Select System Preference from the Apple menu.

  3. Click Print & Fax or Print & Scan.

  4. In the Print & Fax or Print & Scan dialog, click +.

  5. Select your printer from the list of available printers displayed.

  6. Click Add.
