Wireless devices communicate using radio waves. The 802.11 standards, developed by the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), define how those radio waves are sent and received.
The printer is compatible with the following standards:
802.11b
802.11g
802.11n
The printer will not reach maximum 802.11n data throughput rates if it is used on an 802.11b or 802.11g network.
The printer does not support the 802.11a standard. If your network uses the 802.11a standard, the printer will not be able to communicate with other wireless devices.
Check your access point documentation, or contact your system support person, if you are unsure which standard your network uses.
