  1. Print the original and check the current misalignment 'a' in the paper stack using a ruler.

Check for misalignment ('a' below) in the paper stack. If the set paper width is greater than the actual paper width, a misalignment occurs.

  2. On the touch panel of the main body, press [Adjustment] on the [MACHINE] screen.

  3. Press [Finisher Adjustment] on the [Adjustment Menu] screen.

  4. Press [Staple Finisher Adjustment] on the [Finisher Adjustment] menu.

  5. Press [Staple Finisher (Main) Adj.] on the [Staple Finisher Adjustment] menu.

  6. Press [Staple Paper Width Adj.] on the [Staple Finisher (Main) Adj.] menu.

  7. Press the paper size to adjust. Enter the adjustment value and press [Set].

Example: Make the staple paper width for [Offset for All Size] (all paper sizes) narrower by 1 mm.

    [Offset for All Size]

    Narrowing by 1 mm (+10)

    • Press [Offset for All Size], [1], [0 ], and [Set] to enter the value [+10]. This makes the staple paper width 1 mm narrower.

    • Press the keypad on the screen to set the value.

    • Use [+/-] to specify the value to be positive or negative.

    • The values are in 0.1 mm increments. (1 = 0.1 mm)

    • With a specific paper size selected, the set value becomes the sum of the entered value and the value previously specified for [Offset for All Size].

    • Pressing [Print Mode] switches the mode to print mode, which allows you to print the original.

  8. Print the original again and check the staple paper width for misalignment.

Repeat the above steps as necessary.
